An invitation, not a fixed formula
These itineraries are starting points for a conversation. Ask about adjusting the pace, accommodation or experiences to suit you. Prices are provided in an individual proposal, with the selected services and booking conditions set out clearly.
First, decide how much to see
The most rewarding route is not always the longest list of destinations. Think about how often you want to change hotels, how much guided time you enjoy and whether a retreat belongs at the end or in the middle of your trip.
Around 8–10 days
Focus on a region or a strong interest, such as food, heritage or a coastal escape. A tighter geographic focus allows more time on the ground and fewer airport transitions.
Around 12–14 days
Consider two or three regions, with longer stays in the places that matter most. Decide where a flight saves time and where a scenic overland journey is part of the experience.
Around 18–21 days
Make space for a more extensive journey, a quieter detour or a beach finale. Extra days are most valuable when they create choice and rest, rather than simply more stops.
Choose the atmosphere
Pair Hanoi’s cultural life with a bay cruise or a northern highland stay. Ask about walking distances, road journeys and seasonal visibility before adding remote areas.
Hue and Hoi An offer contrasting perspectives on Vietnam’s past. Give yourself time for guided exploration, a cooking experience and an unhurried afternoon by the sea.
Seek encounters that leave time for conversation: a studio visit, a craft workshop or a food walk with a knowledgeable host. Share a specific interest so the visit can have a clear purpose.
A coastal or island stay can create a restful finish. Choose the destination around your travel month, flight connections and preferred balance of seclusion, dining and activities.
More than a list of highlights
For a bay stay, start with the experience you want: a quiet cabin on a scheduled cruise or an entire vessel for your party. These are different levels of privacy. Ask about the route, cabin position, time ashore and the activities you actually want to join.
A market visit becomes more useful when it connects to a meal you prepare or understand. An artisan visit becomes more memorable when there is time to see the process. Tell us whether you prefer hands-on participation, expert conversation or simply observing.
Individual hosts and special arrangements depend on availability; the final proposal should identify the experience and format.
Leave space for a poolside afternoon, a spa appointment or a longer resort stay. If wellness is a priority, discuss the programme, practitioner, treatment schedule and dietary preferences, rather than assuming every resort offers the same approach.
What to discuss with your travel designer
Think beyond star ratings. Discuss room outlook, noise, stairs, interconnecting rooms, a private pool or the value of being able to walk to dinner. A characterful city hotel and a secluded resort serve different purposes.
Confirm which transfers and excursions are private, where a guide joins you, and which experiences are shared. A private road itinerary does not automatically mean a private train, boat or venue.
Plan vehicle space, flight timings, luggage handling and arrival-day rest together. Share mobility needs or dietary requirements early, so they shape the route and the choice of accommodation.
Your proposal should identify hotels and room categories, transport, guided services, meals, entrance fees and any domestic flights or rail arrangements. Ask separately about supplements, optional activities, insurance and cancellation terms. Exact services vary by itinerary.
Let the season help shape the route
Vietnam’s weather varies by region. Choose the part of your journey you care about most – clear bay views, central-coast beach time or a southern island stay – then build the rest around it.
Autumn and spring are useful starting points for planning. Winter can be cool and misty; summer brings heat, humidity and storm risk. Highlands need their own weather check, especially for walking and scenic views.
Hoi An generally has warmer, sunnier conditions from February to August. Later-year rain and storms can affect touring and beach time. Check the specific coastal destination rather than assuming one season suits the whole coast.
Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta are generally drier from December to April. Island conditions differ: discuss the exact beach, sea conditions and travel dates when choosing a resort.
From an idea to a considered itinerary
01 / Share your priorities
Tell us your dates, party size, interests, preferred pace and an indicative budget. Mention a special occasion, favourite hotel style or experience you would not want to miss.
02 / Refine the proposal
Review the route, stays and daily rhythm together. Ask where to spend more time, what can be simplified and which arrangements need confirming.
03 / Confirm the details
Before committing, check the named services, availability, deposit schedule, inclusions and cancellation terms. Keep time-sensitive preferences clear in the final itinerary.
Before we begin
Private arrangements can be requested for your party, but privacy needs to be confirmed service by service. Road transfers, guides, cruises, trains and activities may have different operating formats. Your proposal should distinguish private services from shared experiences.
Yes. Use a suggested itinerary to explain what you like, then discuss changes to destinations, pace, accommodation and activities. Rail departures, cruise schedules and particular hosts may limit some adjustments.
There is no single reliable price without dates and service choices. Room category, season, party size, domestic transport and private-charter requests all influence the quotation. Share an indicative budget so the proposal can prioritise the elements you value.
Begin once your dates and priorities are reasonably clear, particularly if you want a specific suite, villa, train departure or festive-period stay. Availability and payment conditions should be checked before you make connected arrangements.
Share children’s ages, sleeping arrangements, interests and any mobility needs. Discuss vehicle space, room connections, meal flexibility and whether some days should offer separate activities. Suitability depends on the chosen route and properties.
Yes. A scheduled rail or cruise journey can form one part of a wider itinerary. Cabin category, departure date, excursions and any pre- or post-journey stays should be confirmed. A booked cabin is not an exclusive charter.
Send your dates or travel month, trip length, traveller numbers, interests and preferred accommodation. Add an indicative budget and mention priorities such as fewer flights, more leisure time, accessibility or a particular celebration.
Your next journey, thoughtfully planned
Tell us the places, interests and moments you would like to make time for. We will use your preferences to begin shaping a personal Vietnam journey.
